About Chrysanthemums
Chrysanthemums are beautiful evergreen garden plants with deep green foliage and stunning flowers. Chrysanthemums come in many different types, colours, varieties and sizes. Chrysanthemums are synonymous with Mother's Day, and are in full bloom from late April to June every year, coinciding with this annual celebration.
Chrysanthemum plants prefer full sun to part shade, and can grow in many soil types and conditions. Suitable for pots or garden beds. Good drainage required.
Chrysanthemum plants can grow up to 1500mm high and 600mm wide depending on the variety. Water requirement is minimal. Do not over water or let the plant become too dry. A garden stake is often required. Fertilise with a slow release fertiliser every 6 months.
